``An Eye for An Eye Makes The World Go Blind``
Now in days people think that killing or death penalty is the solution for a problem in society. I am Jeremy Bentham and I state that according to my philosphy death penalty should not exist. My philosophy is based on moral and the happiness of people. Death penalty is another name for justice in society. In other words is people being killed by the state. The state has no right to kill another person. Special attributions and punishments should be put to the individual that violates society rules and laws.
Death penalty goes against happiness of people. It is cruel to see how people now in days kill each other. It is something we can fix according to laws or special treatments. It is not a good to the society to loose people since economy may go down. Once a crime has being commited and one person has being killed, why is it necessary to kill a second person instead of treating him or her to a special punishment and clean the bad spirit inside? Death does not bring happiness, therefore death penalty should not exist and the state has no right to kill since it is not asserted by God or bible. It is not permitted to Gods will to see death penalty. My philosophy involves avoiding pain and killing brings up pain and make people suffer. The state should be intelligent and look ways to make society and people happy and death penalty is inhuman. If the state kills it makes the state a murderer state. The state should look for solutions for the problems but not death penalty. The state has no right to take a life.

i am thomas aquinas and i do believe the state has the right to kill another person only if the reason of killing the individual is no intending to kill because of hatred, it must be intended for overall good and justice of the majority. Death penalty should allowed if the reason of their death is wrongdoing or punishment. It’s not wrong to kill another person if the purpose is to save others life and keep others from danger.
ReplyDeletei am existentialism and i agree, that death penalty is moraly incorrect. a serial killer is being authentic and has a meaning in life. the killer has killed before and will kill again, the killer is being true to his existence and does not diserve to die for this. if the case was different and it was the first and last time the killer has taken a life then he might deserve punishment since he is being unauthentic.
ReplyDeleteI am Kongfuzi and i totally agree with you, because the state has no right to kill someone because every type of government has its limits. Some solutions that can be applied to this people is to teach them some values to make them feel humiliated therefore become good.
ReplyDeleteI disagree with you Bentham, i find that under utilitarianism the death penalty is permissible. By killing one you are getting a step closer to reaching complete social order, thus a greater good.
