The Value of Life

A woman should have total control over her own body; therefore abortion is a decision that should only be taken by the woman involved. The action of abortion should be a pro-choice movement. Abortion is mostly defined as “the termination of a pregnancy by the removal or expulsion of an embryo or fetus from the uterus, resulting in or caused by its death.” (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pro-choice, March 6, 2009). Because it is said that the murder of a human being goes against religion and is considered a sin, the killing of a fetus is considered murder by many societies around the world. Women have many reasons to abortion, and they are under their own rights to choose whether or not they want/should have this baby. Everyone has the right to its own personal freedom. Abortion is immoral by many around the world do to religious beliefs and a community’s morals. Abortion is supposed to be an action of murder; when it has been stated before that life does begin at conception. Therefore, an embryo or fetus since the time of conception is alive and because it’s already considered alive, it is considered a murder. Every person has a right to life. So the fetus has a right to life. It is claimed by the church and God, that an embryo and fetus are already considered as being a human being under the eyes of God. Abortion is the act of killing, therefore its immoral for a human been to kill a baby/ embryo. Abortion goes against any persons virtues and values.
